If you’re looking to improve your skill, confidence and success on stream (and have fun doing it) then we are your guides.
A typical day guided fly fishing day involves leaving Villa Marinotti’s Lodge in the early morning or being picked up from your accommodation (in Cortina d’Ampezzo too), or meeting at a prearranged location (Belluno is around 70 minutes drive from Venice) to maximise fishing opportunities, driving to our destination. The average full day allows for around 8 hours fishing time, although one will never be pulled off the river if we think an evening hatch is imminent. Half day guiding is possible too! Travelling times to our fishing areas vary depending on conditions, though are generally between eight to a maximum of sixty minutes drive.
We will mainly fish wild waters with no stocked fish. Marble trout in our location are 100% wild.
Of course we will select for you the best places according to the season and weather forecast. From small creeks to larger rivers and lakes.
A full guided day Includes:
- A full day professional fly fishing guiding and tuition.

We also offer different kind of fly fishing courses:
- Fly fishing "fast" course for beginners (half day): The "fast" course is a basic course for beginners. It will give you a concrete idea about what fly fishing really is! One hour basic casting lesson and three hours fishing. Catch your first trout with a fly fishing rod!
- Fly Fishing - Strike Indicator Masterclass (half day or full day): Fishing with a Strike Indicator: in certain situations it still remains the most productive strategy! Everything you need to know to master this technique.
- European Nymphing Course (half day or full day): Euro style nymphing is a very productive strategy, but it requires some mentoring to become proficient in a reasonable amount of time. It's universally used at nearly every competitive fly fishing event. It's VERY effective and it is also a lots of fun.
- Streamer Upstream Course (half day or full day): The best technique if you want to catch a marble trout or a big trout in small-medium size waters. No need to use heavy rods, big lines and super sinking Fly lines!
- Fly fishing Pike Workshop (half day or full day). Everything you need to know to fish a pike on a fly! With boat or belly boat.
- Tenkara course for beginners: a basic session to introduce anglers to the world of Tenkara. We will cover rod setup, basic casts, fish management and landing without a reel. Half day or full day session directly on the river. Perfect for children too!
